To the Lighthouse
3 miles there and back
Left out of the gate and along the cliff tops the whole way, past the old watch hut on Porthgale Head. Seals in the water below more often than not. No road, no stiles, one honest climb.
Down to Pentowan Cove
40 minutes each way
Right out of the gate, down through the valley with the stream. Sand at low tide, a swim if you're brave, and the fish shack on the quay in summer. Steep on the way back, worth it.
The Field Round
An easy hour
Inland past Trevean Farm, where our eggs come from, and back down the lane. Muddy after rain. Boots by the porch, help yourself, put them back roughly clean.
